Ghoulunatics

Created in 1994, Quebec, Canada’s Ghoulunatics differentiate themselves from hyper-technical countrymen like Cryptopsy and Kataklysm having a looser design of “horror groove” death steel designated by rather amusing, not-so-serious lyrics. Their mainly self-released albums consist of 1996’s Mystralengine, 1998’s Carving into You, 2001’s Ruler from the Undead, 2004’s From the Live! and Sabacthany, and 2006’s Cryogénie. A Dvd movie titled Bloodstream Curdling Years also surfaced in 2005, as well as the band’s most recent lineup comprises vocalist Patrick Mireault, guitarists Francis Dubois and Patrick Gordon, bassist Gary Lyons, and drummer Brian Craig.
