Ghostpoet

A U.K.-structured MC whose is better than and flow brim with drowsy anxiety, Ghostpoet (Obaro Ejimiwe) became associated with music while attending university. He was an associate of the grime collective but ultimately gravitated toward a much less energetic creation sound and MC’ing design, presented on 2010’s The Sound of Strangers, a self-released four-track missive that captured the hearing of BBC DJ Gilles Peterson. Peterson certified the EP for his Brownswood label and highlighted a demo edition of the monitor “Liines” over the 6th Brownswood Bubblers compilation, released that November. The next February, Brownswood released Peanut Butter Blues and Melancholy Jam, the initial Ghostpoet full-length and a Mercury Award nominee. Some State I THEREFORE I State Light implemented in 2013 with Tony Allen, Lucy Rose, which Heat’s Charles Hayward among its guests. Offering more electric guitar and a complete band of all paths, the 2015 recording Shedding Pores and skin was a musical departure for the designer, and presented a cooperation with indie rocker plus Maximo Recreation area vocalist Paul Smith.
