Get the Blessing

The progressive jazz/noise/thrash band Get the Blessing (formerly the Blessing whenever a legal issue forced them to change their name) was formed in 2000 in Bristol, Britain. Their curiosity about the modern innovative improvised audio, North African lifestyle, and non-chordal music set up their visual. Also enamored using the harmelodic pretexts of Ornette Coleman, they set up a more concentrated identification in 2006 using their initial studio sessions. The initial combo the Blessing produced a parallel method of the Esbjörn Svensson Trio, but also Polar Keep and Acoustic Ladyland, and drew extra influences in the Kings of Leon, Morphine, Elvis Costello, and Albert Ayler. Their debut Compact disc All Is certainly Yes was released in 2008. Bandmembers consist of bassist Jim Barr and drummer Clive Deamer, both previous associates of Portishead.
