Gerônimo

Among the precursors from the axé music, Gerônimo present his niche within the exoticism that mixes Caribbean affects using the percussive vigor and sensuality from the music of Bahia. A few of his successes are “Oxossi” (included on the soundtrack from the film Outrageous Orchard), “Jubiabá,” and “Menino perform Pelô.” In his early years, Gerônimo performed horns within the Filarmônica de Bom Jesus dos Pobres and percussion within the Trio Unétrico de Dodô e Osmar, having also toured European countries within the ’70s using the Balé Brasileiro da Bahia. Having documented an LP for the reason that period (which hadn’t occurred), his tracks understood a broader achievement within the interpretation of various other artists such as a Cor perform Som (“Dentro da Minha Cabeça”) and Diana Pequeno (“Mensageiro da Alegria”). Within the ’80s, he liked nationwide reputation after his “É D’Oxum” was included on the soundtrack of Television Globo’s series Tenda dos Milagres. His biggest strike was “European union Sou Negão,” successful from the Carnival of 1987.
