Gerd Dudek

Reeds, flute, sahnai. German musician similarly adept at improvising or composing. Dudek examined clarinet privately and went to music school within the ’50s before signing up for a big music group led by his sibling Ossi until 1958. Through the early ’60s, he performed two years within the Berliner Jazz Quintet, in Karl Blume’s group and in Kurt Edelhagen’s orchestra until 1965. After that he became thinking about free of charge music and became a member of Manfred Schoof’s quintet. Dudek had taken part within the initial sessions of THE WORLD Unity Orchestra in 1966, and used them at several time in to the ’80s. He also caused many other Western european free music artists and composers, included in this Alexander Schlippenbach, Albert Mangelsdorff, Loek Dikker as well as the Waterland Outfit And Western european Jazz Quintet. Dudek performed within a trio that documented on the Workshop Freie Musik in Berlin in 1977; afterwards he performed in groupings led by Mal Waldron and Tony Oxley.
