Georgia Spirit Council originally came together in Atlanta as the support device for vocalist Otis Redding III this year 2010. The sound was old-school and cool modern soul. From then on gig finished, the band remained together and advanced toward the jazz end from the range, while never shedding their gritty Southern root base or taut, danceable compositions. Weaving jazz-funk and components of Afrobeat to their audio, they composed and played powerful charts that highlighted specific solos, chanted vocals, and interlocking grooves to make a hypnotic, intoxicating cross types all their very own. After establishing a good and reliable popularity in their house state being a go-to live device, they toured the southeast as an starting action for Antibalas, Lee Areas & the Expressions, Rebirth Brass Music group, and so many more. Their debut record, Thickens Upon Position, premiered in the summertime of 2013 to general critical acclaim.
