George Hunter

Although not really a trained or especially accomplished musician, George Hunter was the traveling force behind the forming of the Charlatans, among the first SAN FRANCISCO BAY AREA 1960s psychedelic bands. In early 1964 he began to talk about developing a music group with Richie Olsen, who finished up as the Charlatans’ bassist. Hunter didn’t possess musical knowledge, but he previously the style and appearance necessary for a far-out brand-new rock band; regarding to one paper account, his locks was “such a long time it creates the Beatles appear to be Organization Guys.” In the Charlatans, he’d finish up playing tambourine, autoharp, plus some tempo guitar, occasionally performing lead and composing materials.
