b. 11 Might 1874, London, Britain, d. 6 June 1935, London, Britain. Pursuing in the footsteps of his dad, George Grossmith Snr. , he was initially within the London stage in Haste To THE MARRIAGE (1882), a musical play compiled by his dad in cooperation with W.S. Gilbert. Through the next couple of years he performed minor functions in musical comedies like the Baroness (1892), Morocco Bound (1893), as well as the Shop Woman (1894). For the rest of the many years of the nineteenth hundred years he was primarily in nonmusical productions. Then came back to musicals, including Great Caesar (1899), The Homosexual Pretenders (1900, which he published and where co-starred his dad), The Toreador (1901, adding lyrics for some of Paul Rubens’ music), and THE INSTITUTION Female (1903, with which he visited the united states). Chiefly in these years, although Grossman produced stage performances he was deeply included off-stage as article writer or lyricist or manufacturer with Gaiety Theater productions, among that have been The Spring Rooster (1905), GIRLS Of Gottenberg (1907), Havana (1908), and Peggy (1911). Grossmith was attuned to brand-new advancements in the theater and done many London revues. After departing the Gaiety in 1913, he continuing to execute, in London and in NY, notably within a creation of THE LADY IN THE Film, but included himself even more with creation in both metropolitan areas. He was back again on the Gaiety for Theodore & Co, (1916), which acquired music by Jerome Kern and Ivor Novello. In the 20s Grossmith created and/or performed in displays like the Cabaret Female (1922), THE WONDER Award (1923), both with music by Kern and P.G. Wodehouse, Primrose (1924), with music by George Gershwin and Ira Gershwin, and he performed Billy Early in the initial London creation of No, No, Nanette (1925). With the past due 20s, he was included significantly less in creation but continued to execute, including showing up in NY in my own Sister And I/Match My Sister (1930). He had taken this present to London where it had been a flop.
