George Ezra

Hertford-reared, Bristol-based vocalist/songwriter George Ezra possesses a deep, resonant, and psychologically weathered tone of voice that belies his significant youth. Inspired by likewise precocious troubadours like Bob Dylan and Hank Williams, Ezra was simply 19 when he released his debut one “Budapest,” a warm, amiable, and soulful cut of stylish folk-pop that invoked brands like Willy Mason, Ben Howard, Ray LaMontagne, and Tom Odell. That tune, along with three others, made an appearance on his 2013 debut EP Do You Listen to the Rain? Elevated touring and an appearance at Glastonbury preceded his second EP Cassy O’ which found its way to early 2014. “Budapest” was re-released in June of this year followed a couple weeks afterwards by Ezra’s debut LP Wished On Voyage. The record inserted the U.K. graphs at #3 and finally climbed in to the best place by year’s end getting him four Brit Prize nominations and a UNITED STATES tour helping Sam Smith in early 2015.
