George Colligan

George Colligan can be an advanced jazz pianist and composer who did high-ranking are a sideman along with a head. His most high-profile association, with vocalist Cassandra Wilson, started in 2000 and proceeds during this composing. He in addition has used Ravi Coltrane, Robin Eubanks, David Gilmore, Myron Walden, Steve Wilson, and several other stellar music artists, young and previous. His own rings have boasted abilities as formidable as Tag Turner and Kurt Rosenwinkel. Blessed in NJ and raised mainly in Maryland, Colligan started his musical lifestyle in the trumpet, a musical instrument which he still sometimes performs and information. (Colligan can be a practical jazz drummer.) He went to the Peabody Conservatory being a traditional trumpet main but became more and more attracted to jazz piano. In 1990 he went to the Banff Summer months Jazz Workshop in Canada. After many years being a freelancer within the Maryland region, Colligan relocated to NY, where his achievement has continuing to support. Colligan released his initial two albums, 1996’s Activism and 1997’s Newcomer, in the Steeplechase label. Switching to the new Sound New Talent label, he implemented up in 1999 with Unresolved and in 2000 with Desire. Agent 99 made an appearance in summer months 2001.
