Georg Abraham Schneider

Schneider was a German instrumentalist who all played the horn, oboe, and other instrumetns having studied using the violinist Magnold in Darmstadt. He also examined structure with Portmann. Operating Schneider proved helpful in Darmstadt, for the courtroom orchestra in Rheinsberg, and in Berlin in a variety of capacities including movie director from the Royal Movie theater, Kapellmeister, and conductor from the opera. The compositions by Schneider had been all sound as he could skillfully exploit every one of the conventions of that time period furthermore to demonstrating his virtuosity and the data he had of varied instruments. Schneider constructed several Singspiels, symphonies, concertos, and chamber duets and it is appreciated for his “Geschichte der Oper und des koniglichen Opernhauses in Berlin” — THE ANNALS of Opera as well as the Royal Opera homes in Berlin, 1852.
