Although formed in North Ireland, General Fiasco looked to America for inspiration, taking cues from guitar-driven bands just like the Strokes, Foo Fighters, and Paramore. Shane Davey, Owen Strathern, and Enda Strathern released the music group in 2007, with Davey ultimately departing the lineup and drummer Stephen Leacock acquiring his place. By 2008, the group experienced begun attracting interest from U.K.-centered publications like NME, credited in part with their encouraging performance in the Leeds Festival. After putting your signature on with Infectious Information — the same label that previously released Ash, another melodic rock-band from North Ireland — the bandmates released their debut recording, Buildings, this year 2010.
