Through the entire 40s, aside from a two-year spell within the military, Williams caused many dance rings including those of Sam Fletcher, Johnny Very long, Vincent Lopez, Les Elgart, George Paxton, Bobby Sherwood and, primarily like a vocalist, the Claude Thornhill Orchestra. Williams created his personal dance music group in 1949 in NEW YORK. They were in the beginning referred to as the Gene Williams AS WELL AS THE Junior Thornhill Music group before changing towards the Gene Williams Orchestra.
