Gene Simmons

Gene Simmons (not the person in hard rockers Kiss) had lots 11 strike in 1964 using the novelty “Haunted Home,” but his center was actually in the high and rootsy rock and roll, soul, and nation customs of his house foundation of Memphis. Created in Tupelo, MS, Simmons relocated to Memphis after documenting some rockabilly for Sunlight Records, who in fact just got around to issuing a unitary from his classes. Moving towards the Hi there label in the first ’60s, he documented many singles and an recording, but “Haunted Home” was the only person that fulfilled with achievement before his last solitary for the business in 1966. Along with his white Southern R&B, Simmons echoed such fellow travelers as Roy Mind, Bruce Route, and post-rockabilly Dale Hawkins, although he had not been as gritty as some of them. He was a likable performer, though, and offered the Hi label a few of their first preferences of success.
