Best known while the drummer through the Byrds’ groundbreaking country-rock period, Gene Parsons later on cut several solo information that underlined his placement like a country-rock pioneer. Parsons was created in LA on Sept 4, 1944, and was raised mainly in the Mojave Desert. He performed bass and drums in the Castaways beginning in 1963, and he and bandmate Gib Gilbeau consequently teamed up as Cajun Gib & Gene, documenting for several little brands. In 1985, he shaped a performing relationship with vocalist/guitarist Meridian Green, the girl of folksinger Bob Gibson. Both wedded in 1986 and shaped an official music group dubbed Parsons Green in 1991. Their Sierra debut, Wild birds of the Feather, premiered in 1992. Several live albums had been released on Parsons’ very own StringBender label in 2001.
