Gene Bertoncini

One of the most elegant, tasteful, and private guitarists, Gene Bertoncini offers perfected the artwork of performing soft, sentimental music and presenting it all inside a light, liquid style, yet retaining a amount of feeling and spontaneity. He started on acoustic guitar at nine and was a specialist at 16, playing on the children’s tv program. Bertoncini took structures at Notre Dame instead of music, though he later on came back to full-time playing. He used an organization led by Friend Wealthy that also included Mike Mainieri and Sam Many.
