Definately not having anything regarding a tribute to Hurry’s bass participant, UK rock-band Martin Wilson and Andrew Barrot took their name from a college publication titled Geddex Axe 1921-1922. Arriving collectively in 1980 with Andy Millard (vocals), Dave Clayton (drums) and Mick Serenity (bass), the music group decided to adhere to in the footsteps of fellow Sheffield residents Def Leppard and record a self-financed EP. Entitled Come back FROM THE Gods, it didn’t generate the general public curiosity that Def Leppard experienced aroused. After one additional solitary, ‘Sharpen Your Wits’, the music group underwent a significant personnel switch, with Barrot becoming a member of Baby Tuckoo (and later on Chromium Molly), Millard and Clayton giving up, and being changed with Nick Dark brown, Tony Rose and John Burke, respectively. A revamped live collection included the intensifying ‘Valley FROM THE Kings’ (unfortunately unrecorded) and cover variations of Kiss tunes. The Bullet label found the music group and released a better 12-inch sole, ‘Get away From New York’, nonetheless it didn’t gain any floor to them and by 1983 that they had again split up.
