Ge Gan-Ru

China’s initial avant-garde composer. After getting levels in violin and structure from your Shanghai Conservatory of Music, he was forbidden to try out not scales through the Cultural Trend and afterwards incarcerated and tortured. In 1983, he was honored a fellowship to Columbia School where he examined with Chou Wen-chung and Mario Davidovsky and received his Doctor of Musical Arts level.
