Gautier de Dargies

This French trouvere got ancestors who participated in the first crusade. Gautier himself participated in the 3rd crusade and was appropriately probably familiar with the trouveres Conon de Bethune, Hugues de Berze and Chastelain de Couci. Mainly Gautier made up traditional chansons which twenty survive.
