Gates

Based from the bustling NJ music/college town of Fresh Brunswick, alternately soaring and hard-hitting post-rock five-piece Gates shaped in 2011 round the talents of guitarist Dan King, bassist Mike Maroney, Daniel Crapanzano, guitarist Ethan Koozer, and guitarist/vocalist Kevin Dye. Having a heady mixture of math-tinged post-hardcore, indie rock and roll, ambient pop, and emo, the group released a set of EPs (SUNLIGHT Will Rise and Lead Me House [2011] and also you ARE You HAVE GONE to Dread [2013]) before inking a cope with Pure Sound Information, which reissued the EPs aswell as Gates’ debut long-player, Bloom & Breathe, in 2014. In 2016, Gates came back using their sophomore full-length recording, Parallel Lives, offering the solitary “Habit.”
