Gary Husband

A pianist, drummer, and bandleader, Gary Hubby is really a journeyman jazz-rock musician using a versatile, active, and genre-bending method of improvised music. Blessed in Leeds in 1960, Hubby studied traditional piano and jazz before acquiring work professionally. Within the ’90s, Hubby started leading his very own piano trio offering bassist Mick Hutton and drummer Gene Calderazzo and released the record From the Center in 1999. During this time period he continued to utilize other performers including Billy Cobham, Jimmy Toe nail, Anthony Hindson, and much more. He came back to his single use 2004’s Aspire along with the Things I Find: Interpretations from the Music of Allan Holdsworth that same calendar year. In 2006, Hubby looked into another of his affects with A GATHERING of Spirits: Interpretations from the Music of John McLaughlin. In 2008, he shipped the extremely personal THE ENTIRE Diary of the Plastic Container, which featured functions Hubby penned while touring being a sideman from 1989 to 1993.
