Garry Glenn

Detroit local Garry Glenn was a gifted songwriter, vocalist, and keyboardist. As an adolescent he toured along with his sister, the gospel vocalist Beverly Glenn, but transformed his focus on composing in the 1980s, penning music for the Feelings, Earth, Breeze & Fireplace, Freddie Jackson, Eddie Kendricks, as well as the Dramatics, amongst others. Anita Baker documented what is most likely his most common composition, “Captured in the Rapture,” and Glenn proved helpful for a while being a keyboardist in her touring music group, a posture he also kept with Billy Sea. His first single record, Garry Glenn, premiered in 1980, another, Feels Great to FEEL GREAT, arrived on Motown Information in 1987. Glenn passed on on Sept 18, 1991.
