Gammera

Called after a Japan monster movie, stoner metallists Gammera — Scott Selfridge (guitars/vocals), Clint Ragsdale (bass), and Vadim Canby (drums) — hail from San Anselmo, CA; they created in 1996. Even though members were 1st drawn to the Western Coast hardcore picture, Gammera constructed their audio upon the weighty and muddy riffs of Dark Sabbath, Soundgarden, and Danzig, fitted in perfectly using the influx of past due-’90s stoner rings (Fu Manchu, Queens from the Rock Age group, Orange Goblin). 2001 noticed the discharge of their full-length debut, entitled Smoke cigarettes and Mirrors.
