US rock-band Galeforce took their name from your surnames from the brothers who gave them their innovative thrust – Len Gale (vocals/drums) and Ken Gale (acoustic guitar). As well as Sneaky Pete (acoustic guitar), Bobby Lyle (keyboards) and Charlie Souza (bass), they produced their debut having a self-titled collection for Dream Information in 1978. The group’s difficult, high-spirited blues rock and roll style earned instant comparisons to Poor Organization, though Len Gale’s place behind the drum package limited his ambitions to emulate Paul Rodgers. However, Gale Force continues to be an impressive accomplishment, despite its industrial misfortune.
