Gabriela Benacková

While most widely known for her achievements in Czech music, especially that of Dvorák and Smetana, Benackova has performed in almost all the lirico-spinto soprano assignments in the Italian repertoire. She’s earned equal compliment on her behalf musicianship and vocal beauty, though she actually is sometimes accused of getting a non-Italianate coolness to people jobs.
