Funeral Suits

Having a name inspired by Arcade Fire’s first album, Irish alt-pop outfit Funeral Suits formed in 2008, recording a small number of singles before starting up with acclaimed Brit-pop producer Stephen Street. Under his stewardship, they started focus on their debut recording, emerging 1st in 2011 using the brightly colored solitary “Color Fade.” Mixing consumer electronics and buoyant acoustic guitar pop, their 1st full-length, Lily from the Valley, came a year down the road Dublin-based indie Ruby Functions. Many years of touring both in European countries as well as the U.S. adopted as the music group slowly started focus on their follow-up. Documenting in Germany with maker Jochen Schmalbach, they shipped a fresh EP, Tree of Existence, in Apr of 2016, pursuing up in November of this year using their sophomore recording, Islands Apart. Before the album’s launch, Funeral Fits announced that it might be their last because they prepared to disband soon afterward.
