A genre-bending pop trio from NEW YORK, Fun. infuse their literate indie rock and roll songwriting sensibility with such assorted influences as classic ’50s pop music, ’80s adult modern, and hip-hop. Given birth to out of three different rings, Fun. feature the skills of previous the Format business lead vocalist Nate Ruess, Metal Train guitarist Jack port Antonoff, and Anathallo keyboardist Andrew Dost. Fun. broke big in 2012 using their sophomore recording, Some Evenings, which topped the Billboard Sizzling 100 graph for over six weeks and gained them two Grammy Honours. Following Format’s break up in 2008, Ruess had taken his songwriting abilities to Metal Train’s Antonoff and Anathallo’s Dost, both of whom distributed an identical affinity for classic pop music and quirky, melodic hooks. The trio started some collaborations in Antonoff’s parents’ living area and shortly enlisted assistance from manufacturer Steven McDonald, who documented their function and taken care of bass responsibilities. The record’s 1st solitary, “We Are Youthful,” presented vocals by Janelle Monáe and reached number 1 within the Billboard Sizzling 100.
