Full Ugly

The soft, jangly, shambling pop sounds of Melbourne, Australia quartet Full Ugly began as low-key collaborations between Michael Caterer and songwriter Nathan Burgess. Both were currently playing jointly in the greater eclectic outfit Like Connection at that time, and gradually started working on Total Ugly music. The music group was curved out using the addition of Thomas Mendelovits and Zach Schneider plus they started playing out live and planning recordings. Caterer ultimately relocated from Australia towards the States, however the music group soldiered on without him, Burgess recruiting an upgraded and documenting a bevy of music with the initial line-up just before Caterer departed for NY in 2011. Their initial public result included a monitor for the 2012 compilation Tough End from the Stay on Vacant Valley Information, and a song on the four-way divide 7″ including like-minded Aussie music group the Stevens. 2013 noticed the release from the Drove Down 7″, foreshadowing the discharge of debut LP Spent the Afternoon, released in the springtime of 2014 on the bed room Suck label.
