Fuck

Resigning themselves to some job of obscurity by just virtue of the name, Fuck produced in Oakland, CA, in 1993 after bandmembers Timmy Prudhomme (vocals), Kyle Statham (guitar, violin), Ted Ellison (bass, piano), and Geoff Soule (drums) became accelerated friends while detained within a police force holding cell. Building their home bottom on the far side of the bay in SAN FRANCISCO BAY AREA (although Prudhomme shortly relocated to NEW YORK, forcing a bicoastal musical life), they bowed in 1994 using the one “Monkey Beauty Shotgun,” accompanied by some 7″ produces and compilation performances that discovered the vulgarity of the moniker regularly at odds using the raising loveliness of the popcraft. The group’s full-length debut, Quite…Slow, appeared in 1996 in three separate brands — Rhesus (Fuck’s very own imprint), Walt, and Esther (shortly renamed Lamplighter) — with funding and distribution costs divided equally between each firm; the same offer was set up for Baby Adores a Funny Bunny, released that same calendar year, however in 1997 Fuck agreed upon to Matador, where they released the wonderful Pardon My French. Carry out followed a calendar year afterwards; Cupid’s Cactus was released in early 2001. Those AREN’T My Bongos premiered three years afterwards by Upcoming Farmer Recordings.
