Myrtle Seaside, SC punk combo the Frownies was shaped in mid-1995 by singer/guitarist Jasin Benton, singer/bassist Chris Hamby and drummer Jason Hearn. Some compilation looks preceded the 1997 launch from the trio’s debut LP Novice Dramatics for Professional Losers; a self-titled follow-up surfaced 2 yrs later.
