Frontier(s)

Not to end up being confused with Frontiers, the Trip cover music group, Frontier(s) are an indie rock-band from Louisville, KY featuring emo pioneer Chris Higdon. As the vocalist for Elliott and Falling Forwards, Higdon was an integral part of the wildly important post-hardcore picture in Louisville, assisting to lay the building blocks for the genre’s thrashy, emotive audio. Not prepared to be put away to songwriting pasture, Higdon teamed up with guitarist Matthew Wieder, bassist Bryan Todd, and drummer Eagle Berber in Frontier(s) during 2008. With an easier, more earnest method of the genre, the music group has a audio that’s conveniently recognizable for supporters of middle-’90s emo, eliminating the ubiquitous screamo vocals and metal-influenced wall space of guitars and only the rawer, even more stripped-down audio of Higdon’s former work. This year 2010 the quartet produced its debut with YOU WILL SEE No Miracles Right here, released on World Rock Recordings.
