Frode Haltli

b. 1975, nr. Trondheim, Norway. Haltli started playing accordion at age seven and even though he also performed French horn and trombone in blowing wind bands it had been to stay his principal device. As a kid he performed folk music but shortly shifted into different forms. Playing music by composers Pietr Fiala, Torbjörn Lundquist among others, he quickly developed extraordinary instrumental abilities alongside a deep knowledge of songs. In his early years he earned numerous nationwide contests, raising fascination with and appreciation from the accordion to unparalleled heights. Haltli researched on the Norwegian Condition Academy of Music, after that in the Royal Danish Music Conservatory in Copenhagen, graduating in 2000. In 2001 the Norwegian Concert Institute called him Small Soloist Of THE ENTIRE YEAR and in exactly the same 12 months he was positioned second within the International Gaudeamus Interpreters Competition in holland.
