Leaving the politically fueled punk from the Dead Kennedys, guitarist East Bay Ray orchestrated a combined mix of quirky jazz, 60’s R & B and lounge to generate Frenchy’s sound. Having a presence of the clarinet, bass, drums and marimba towards the lyrical accompaniment of like, criminal offense and barbecues, Dionysus Information debuted Frenchy’s first recording Bumps and Grinds in 1996. Their second launch, Che’s Lounge adopted on a single label in 1997.
