Freekbass

Funk bassist Freekbass (formerly FreeBass) was created in Cincinnati, Ohio, where after graduating from the city’s College for Creative and Performing Arts he joined a captivating local music picture which before had provided rise to the Ruler Records label in addition to funk tale Bootsy Collins. Recruited by P-Funk alumnus and onetime Bootsy’s ELASTIC BAND vocalist Gary “Mudbone” Cooper to record a monitor to get a Jimi Hendrix tribute, Freekbass was released to Collins himself, who christened him along with his stage name; in 1992, Freekbass shaped the music group SHAG with guitarist Chris Donnelly, debuting 2 yrs later on with Bootsy Collins Presents SHAG Live. In 1998, Freekbass also released his single debut, Ultra-Violet Effect. Body Over Brain followed in summer season 2001.
