Fred Man spent the majority of his playing career using the Duke Ellington Orchestra. He was raised in NEW YORK. Man caused Joseph C. Smith’s Orchestra and led his personal group. Nevertheless after becoming a member of Duke Ellington’s Washingtonians within the springtime of 1925 (changing the group’s previous innovator Elmer Snowden who remaining after a cash dispute), Man was with Ellington for another 24 years. He performed banjo until the first 1930’s and his rhythmic and percussive design was a secured asset to the first band. Nevertheless after switching to acoustic guitar, Man tended to become inaudible and (since he under no circumstances soloed) an extremely minor force within the music.
