A fantastic addition to the West Coast’s psychedelic groove motion together with Tranquility Bass, Solitary Cell Orchestra and Spacetime Continuum, Daum Bentley’s Freaky Chakra task combined funk, earthy techno and components of basic commercial music for his debut LP, 1995’s Lowdown Motivator. A lover of hip-hop and commercial before nascent rave picture hit SAN FRANCISCO BAY AREA in the past due ’80s, Bentley started recording in the first ’90s and made an appearance reside in early incarnations of Miguel Fierro’s Solitary Cell Orchestra. Introduced to Tranquility Bass’ Mike Kandel through Fierro, Bentley approved him a demonstration tape and released the debut Freaky Chakra solitary “Halucifuge” on Kandel’s Exist Dance Information. One year later on Bentley was authorized to the surging self-employed Astralwerks, which released his 1st recording Lowdown Motivator in 1995. Composed of a variety of material documented as soon as 1990, the LP gained glowing compliment from critics, as do the stormy battle-clash Freaky Chakra Vs. One Cell Orchestra. Bentley resurfaced in 1997 using the EP Calendar year 2000, and his second correct full-length Blacklight Illusion was released twelve months later.
