Produced in 2007, Southern London’s FranKo certainly are a four-piece who mix the hard rock and roll of American works like Daughtry and Shinedown using the pinup selling point of teenage acts like Anxiety on the Disco and Tokio Resort. Gigs around London and a tour of Thailand, plus an internet video recording a session on the famous Abbey Street Studios in early 2009, drew the interest of the teenage press. Features in famous brands Sugar magazine implemented, and shortly the bandmembers announced that these were in the studio room documenting their debut record with manufacturers Jim Lowe (Stereophonics) and Dario Dendi (the Killers, Franz Ferdinand).
