Biography
b. 30 Dec 1923, Cheraw, SC, USA. Motley discovered the rudiments of trumpet playing from Dizzy Gillespie and shortly created a novelty technique of playing two trumpets concurrently, thereafter getting known with the nicknames of ‘Dual Trumpet’ and ‘Two Horn’ Motley. After navy provider, Frank researched music at Chicago and Washington, DC, and shaped his own music group in 1949. The Motley Crewe included drummer Thomas E. ‘TNT’ Tribble and documented for Lilian Claiborne who positioned experts with Gotham, RCA – Victor Information, Specialty Records, Jewel, DC, Big City, Hollywood and several other small brands. In the middle-50s, using the development of rock and roll ‘n’ move, Motley wedded and shifted north to Toronto, Canada, where he continuing to try out and perform until 1984 when he retired to Durham, NEW YORK.
