Biography
Nearly 3 decades after he awed fans of progressive jazz-fusion band Emergency along with his Jimi Hendrix-influenced guitar playing, Frank Diez remains among Germany’s top instrumentalists. Performing with German guitarist Peter Maffay’s music group Atlantis since 1974, Diez offers continuing to collaborate with ex-Alexis Korner bassist Colin Hodgkinson, with whom he offers performed several thousand displays and documented four CDs because the Electric powered Blues Duo. Liberating a solo recording, Stranded on Dream Isle, with help from Hodgkinson and pianist/keyboardist and drummer Wolfgang Dalheimer; in 2001 he toured with guitarist Alex Conti. Diez continues to be involved with a great many other tasks aswell. He documented an recording, Daybreak, with ex-Emergency vocalist Peter Bischof in 1975, and created a music group, Ihre Kinder “YOUR KIDS” with important violinist Klaus Kinski (1926-1991). In the past due ’70s, he caused Eric Burdon as maker and instrumentalist.
