Francisco Carlos

Francisco Carlos, among the highly popular performers from the ’50s, was hired being a vocalist in 1946 by Rádio Tamoio, afterwards moving to Rádio Globo. Carlos documented his first record in 1950, which included the carnival march “Meu Brotinho,” to great achievement. For the reason that same season he participated in the movies Aviso Aos Navegantes (Watson Macedo) and Não É Nada Disso (José Carlos Burle). He’d function in another four movies. In 1953 he was voted the very best Singer of the entire year with the listeners and, five years afterwards, he was elected the Rei perform Rádio (Ruler of Radio). In 1962 he toured European countries in the Fifth Caravana da UBC (Caravan from the Brazilian Union of Composers).
