Francesco Piemontesi

Francesco Piemontesi is a Swiss-Italian pianist. He examined with Arie Vardi in Hannover and later on caused Cécile Ousset, Alexis Weissenberg, Murray Perahia, and Alfred Brendel. He was the champion from the 2007 Queen Elisabeth competition in Brussels. His recital repertoire contains the keyboard functions of Mozart, Beethoven, Schubert, Schumann, Brahms, Chopin, Debussy, and Ravel, and he offers performed like a concerto soloist with leading orchestras all over the world, like the London Philharmonic, the BBC Symphony, the Philharmonia Orchestra, the Israel Philharmonic, the town of Birmingham Symphony, Orchestre de la Suisse Romande, as well as the Scottish Chamber Orchestra, among numerous others. In chamber music, Piemontesi may be the creative movie director of the annual worldwide music event, Settimane Musicali in Ascona, Switzerland. He offers performed with Renaud Capuçon, Gautier Capuçon, Emmanuel Pahud, Yuri Bashmet, Daniel Müller-Schott, Heinrich Schiff, Angelika Kirchschlager, Jörg Widmann, as well as the Ebène Quartet. In 2012, he was called by BBC Music Journal as “Greatest Newcomer.” Piemontesi provides documented on Avanti, Claves, Naxos, and Naïve.
