Jim Foster and Vern Wills, both natives of Uk Columbia, began using together as teenagers. Wills later transferred to NY and became a member of the Walkers, but came back to Canada after his function visa expired. Fosterchild finally coalesced in 1976 with Foster and Wills both on electric guitar and vocals, Barry Boothman on bass, drummer Gerry Wand and key pad participant Peter Sweetzir. The music group agreed upon with CBS the next year. Released had been two national strike singles, “Until We Match Once again” and “I WANT Someone Tonight,” but those had been the band’s just charting music. Albums included Fosterchild (1977), Stressed Kid (1978) and On the Prowl (1980).
