Veterans of other rings who have all jumped dispatch, Fortunate Youngsters were formed primarily from the Rude Youngster Roots crew and also other South Bay reggae regulars who have attended open-mike evenings in Hermosa Seaside. This year 2010 they produced their formal debut using the Up-Lifted EP, while their aptly entitled debut recording, Irie Mind-set, adopted in 2011. The recording It’s All a Jam found its way to 2013 and climbed to number 1 on Billboard’s reggae graphs. After the launch of the 1st level of their Dub Selections, they issued DON’T BELIEVE Twice, which presented guest spots from the Green, Marlon “Ganja Farmer” Asher, as well as the Expanders. Like May be the Most Large followed another 12 months. In 2017 they released a self-titled LP that included looks by Somewhat Stoopid vocalist Kyle McDonald (“Irie Condition”) and Kumar Bent (“Dial My Quantity”).
