As chillwave was learning to be a common home term this year 2010, Oneohtrix Stage Never’s Dan Lopatin and Tigercity’s Joel Ford teamed up in Brooklyn to create the retro-sounding desire pop duo Video games. The two child years friends documented a 7” solitary titled “Everything Is usually Functioning” on Hippos in Tanks in August of this year. In the wintertime of 2010, soon after completing their 1st EP, THAT PEOPLE Can Play, Ford and Lopatin had been forced to improve the music group’s name for legal factors and resolved on the most obvious choice, Ford & Lopatin.
