A Christian metalcore group from Sioux Town, Iowa, For Today released their first album, Ekklesia, in 2008. Agreed upon to Facedown Information, For Today — produced in 2005 and composed of Mattie Montgomery (vocals), Ryan Leitru (electric guitar), Mike Reynolds (electric guitar), Brandon Leitru (bass), and David Morrison (drums) — spent the lion’s talk about of their initial year or two together paying out their dues in the live circuit. With an record to market in 2008, the music group had an extended season of touring and gigs prepared. After their debut, they stayed productive, launching their follow-up, Portraits, in 2008. Their third record, 2010’s Breaker, became their initial to reach the entire record graphs, and 2012’s Immortal, For Today’s debut on Razor & Connect, did better still, breaking in to the Best 20. Matty Mullins of Memphis Might Fire guested on the fifth record, 2014’s Combat the Silence. In 2015 they changed tempo guitarist Samuel Penner with Jim Hughes from the music group Colossus. Putting your signature on with Nuclear Blast Information, they released their 6th record, Wake, in Oct of that season.
