All-star post-bop and contemporary creative jazz trio Travel feature saxophonist Tag Turner, bassist Larry Grenadier, and drummer Jeff Ballard. Longtime affiliates, Turner, Grenadier, and Ballard shaped Fly after operating together on the task with pianist Chick Corea. The trio released its debut self-titled recording in 2004 on Savoy Jazz. They following relocated to ECM for 2009’s Sky and Nation. In 2012, Travel returned making use of their third work, Year from the Snake, also on ECM.
