Florian Kupfer

German DJ and manufacturer Florian Kupfer writes fresh, emotive home and techno monitors that often contain booming kick drums, dense tape hiss, and sparse yet poignant melodies and atmospheres. The Wiesbaden-born musician was raised a choirboy before engaging in techno, hip-hop, and commercial music. He captured a DJ established by outsider home figurehead Ron Morelli that totally transformed his perceptions about music. In 2013, Kupfer started releasing materials on Morelli’s trendsetting L.We.E.S. (Long Isle Electrical Systems) label aswell as its Russian Torrent Variations imprint. Debut EP Lifetrax became an instantaneous underground smash, especially because of its monitor “Feelin.” Other singles and EPs implemented, including one-off collaborations with Shadowlust’s Lili Schulder (as UE LI) and NGLY (as Swere). In past due 2014, Kupfer collaborated with Willie Melts away for an untitled EP on Hurry Hour’s No ‘Label’ imprint. Kupfer’s PERSONALLY I THINK You EP premiered by Melts away’ W.T. Information the following season. Also in 2015, Kupfer produced his debut on Ninja Tune’s Technicolour sublabel using the Explora EP. Unfinished, his second discharge for the imprint, implemented a year afterwards.
