A loosely knit ensemble focused around the business lead vocals of ex-Cop Take Cop bass participant Tod A. (given birth to: Tod Ashley), Firewater linked together such affects as Klezmer, Indian wedding ceremony music, art-punk, and Tom Waits-style cabaret poetry to generate their heady, frequently quite danceable audio.
