Nashville-based Firekid may be the synth-shaded, bluegrass-influenced indie folk project of Alabama singer/songwriter/guitarist Dillon Hodges. A young man wonder on your guitar, he started winning contests at age group 11 after having performed the instrument for under a 12 months. He added performing and songwriting to his passions in his mid-teens, with age simply 17, he received the 2007 Country wide Guitar Tournament bluegrass competition. That 12 months, he also self-released an recording titled Stormy Climate. After attending university in Alabama, he relocated to Nashville to help expand go after music, and released a rootsy, vocalist/songwriter-type album entitled Rumspringa in 2013. Combining his bluegrass history, his like of Americana music, and components of modern indie digital and pop, he started carrying out as Firekid, and authorized with Atlantic Information in the springtime of 2015. A three-track live EP, Live 2/19/15, made an appearance that April using the debut full-length Firekid pursuing in September.
