Australia’s Fiona Pleasure (aka Fiona Pleasure Hawkins) is a pianist, vocalist, and composer who makes ambient, jazz, and classical-influenced modern recordings. Blessed in Cessnock, New South Wales, Pleasure had taken piano lessons from a age group and by her teenagers had been composing her personal music. After senior high school, she honed her skills studying traditional piano at Tamworth Conservatorium of Music. Affected from the lyrical, atmospheric function of performers like George Winston and Michael Nyman aswell as the traditional compositions of Chopin, Pleasure debuted in 2005 with Family portrait of the Waterfall. She after that adopted up with many even more well-received albums, including Angel Above My Piano (2006) and Snow: Piano Somewhat Chilled (2008). In ’09 2009, her Will Ackerman-produced recording Blue Fantasy garnered her Area Music Reporter Honours for Recording of the entire year, Best Modern Instrumental Recording, and Greatest Instrumental Recording. In 2011, she released the holiday-themed Xmas Pleasure, adopted in 2012 from the Celtic-inflected Sensual Journeys. In 2013, Pleasure once again came back to Celtic styles with 600 Years in an instant, which featured acoustic guitar and production efforts from Ackerman.
